ICBC-AXA Ranks Top Three Among Internet Insurance Enterprises
 

By creating an internet-based sales model, ICBC-AXA has boosted product innovation and channel expansion in 2014. It ranks top three among internet insurance enterprises, maintaining a strong momentum of growth. According to statistics, ICBC-AXA posted an income of RMB 15.4 billion in 2014, a year-on-year growth of 50%. Premium income generated from internet insurance and other new channels accounted for nearly 30% of total premium.

By leveraging the opportunity to access ICBC e-Buy, an e-commerce platform of the Bank, ICBC-AXA has developed online and offline O2O service model and built six sales channels in 2014 including ICBC internet banking, ICBC e-Buy, self-service wealth management terminal, telephone banking, official WeChat platform and official website. Meanwhile, ICBC-AXA has basically established an independent e-sales brand of E-insurance through internet-based campaigns such as children’s critical illness insurance, WeChat bonus and social networking activities. ICBC-AXA was awarded the “2014 Excellent Organizer of Internet Life Insurance Innovation” in the election organized by Insurance Association of China.
